Ignore all machinations, Sola Ebiseni remains the Governorship candidate of Labour Party.
Once again, the Labour Party Campaign Organisation is inundated with calls on the purported replacement of Chief Sola Ebiseni, our Governorship candidate, with Ayo Olorunfemi less than 24 hours to the Ondo State Governorship election tomorrow.
Contrary to the false report, the candidacy of Ebiseni was the decision of the Party presided over by the National Working Committee led by Julius Abure of which Ayo Olorunfemi is a member after the latter, who was a placeholder, voluntarily withdrew his candidacy backed with sworn affidavit, an undisputed fact confirmed by the Courts.
For the umpteenth time and avoidance of doubt, Ayo Olorunfemi was not a party to any of the cases either at the High Court or the Court of Appeal and his Appeal as an Interested party was dismissed. There is no subsisting order of any court directing the INEC to remove or replace the name of Chief Olusola Nehemiah Ebiseni and Adedayo Ezekiel Awude as the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates respectively of the Party.
In any event, the judgment of the Court of Appeal is already subject of an Appeal filed at at the Supreme Court on the 14th November 2024 with a Motion for Stay of Execution served same day on the INEC before its purported decision today. It is interesting that INEC which took more than a month to comply with the judgment of the Federal High Court would less than 24 hours purportedly act on an enrolled process which judgement and contents it was yet to be served.
We know that the targets of these machinations are the candidates of the Party whose matchless qualities and experience are a source of headaches for opponents and their collaborating in-house fifth columnists.
We therefore call on members of the Labour Party and the good people of Ondo State to ignore all evil designs of these renegades, go out today and vote enmasse for the Labour Party and its promised good life.
Olusola Nehemiah Ebiseni and Adedayo Ezekiel Awude remain respectively the Governorship and Deputy Governorship candidates of the Labour Party now and in the fullness time.
