In a demonstration of his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his constituents, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has provided a critical intervention for traders affected by the recent fire disaster at the Okitipupa market. This timely intervention comes as part of his broader efforts to empower his constituents, particularly during the Christmas season.

Earlier, Senator Ibrahim had visited the scene of the fire incident, accompanied by traditional rulers, to assess the damage and offer his condolences to the affected traders. During the visit, he promised to provide support to help the traders recover from their losses. True to his word, Senator Ibrahim has now provided 10 million Naira to support the affected traders, with each shop owner receiving 500,000 Naira.

In addition to the financial support, Senator Ibrahim has also promised to take proactive measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. He has pledged to drill a solar-powered borehole and install solar-powered lamps at the market. This initiative will not only provide a reliable source of water and lighting but also enhance the overall safety and security of the market.

This latest intervention is part of Senator Ibrahim’s ongoing efforts to empower his constituents. Notably, this is the third time this year that he has provided financial support to the Ondo South Advancement and Welfare Association (OSAWA). Previously, he had given them 4 million Naira and 9 million Naira, respectively. His latest donation of 10 million Naira brings his total financial support to OSAWA to 23 million Naira this year alone.

Furthermore, Senator Ibrahim has also extended his generosity to other groups. His media aides received 2.75 million Naira, while the Ikale APC chapter was given 5 million Naira. Additionally, he distributed 3 trailers of rice across the region as part of his Christmas palliative efforts.

The traders, who had suffered significant losses in the fire incident, have expressed their gratitude to Senator Ibrahim for his timely and generous intervention. Chief Mrs. Florence Irinyemi, the Iyalaje of the market, thanked the senator for his kindness and concern for the welfare of the traders.

Senator Ibrahim’s actions have demonstrated his commitment to the people of Ondo South and his willingness to provide support in times of need. His dedication to the welfare of his constituents has earned him a reputation as a compassionate and responsive leader.

With Senator Ibrahim’s intervention, the affected traders can now begin to rebuild their lives and businesses. His selfless act has brought hope and relief to the people of Okitipupa, and his commitment to their welfare will never be forgotten.
