Ikare Akoko: Hon. Dayo Awude Leads SGN for Distribution of TINUBU Aprons to Over 1,000 Market Women
In a gesture of appreciation and support for the hardworking market women of Ikare Akoko, Hon. Dayo Awude, Director-General of Sunshine Grassroot Network, led a delegation to the area where over 1,000 market women were presented with TINUBU aprons.
In a statement, DG Awude emphasized that the initiative was a way of expressing gratitude to the traders and entrepreneurs who contribute significantly to the local economy. “This gesture is a symbol of our appreciation for the efforts of the market women,” he said.
Hon. Awude highlighted that the initiative was supported and powered by Hon. Dr. Tunji Ojo, the Honourable Minister of Interior. On behalf of the market women, Iyaloja Risika expressed joy and appreciation to the Minister for his unwavering support and for the 50 million naira grant provided earlier. The market women assured continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term ambitions.
The market women also sang praises and offered prayers for the President, expressing their confidence in his leadership and the future of the nation.
The programme, which is said to be being replicated across all three senatorial districts of Ondo State, underscores the government’s commitment to empowering women and supporting local economic activities.
