Senator Jimoh Ibrahim CFR: A Man of Integrity — ₦100 Million Bursary for Ondo South Student

Senator Jimoh Ibrahim CFR, PhD (Cantab), representing the good people of Ondo South Senatorial District, has once again demonstrated genuine leadership and compassion through his personal ₦100 million bursary initiative for students of higher institutions from the district. Under this remarkable programme, 1,000 students will each receive ₦100,000 as part of his effort to promote education and human capital development in Ondo South.
The bursary process has reached an impressive stage of readiness. *Bank drafts amounting to ₦100,000 each have been written in the names of the beneficiaries and duly signed, with video evidence recorded to ensure transparency and authenticity. In his video message, Senator Ibrahim made it clear that this empowerment project is entirely his personal initiative, not funded by the government or any external source — a reflection of his integrity, accountability, and unwavering commitment to the youth of his constituency.
Speaking further, the Senator explained that while the drafts are ready, there is a need to set up a payment distribution team to manage the disbursement process seamlessly. Given that about 1,000 students are involved, the team will determine the most efficient and safe method to deliver the drafts. He noted that it might be impractical for all beneficiaries to converge in one location, and therefore, the team would explore options for distributing the bank drafts to students in their various areas to ensure smooth and organized delivery.
This transparent and well-coordinated approach once again underscores Senator Ibrahim’s leadership philosophy — one rooted in planning, fairness, and accountability. His insistence on clear documentation, signed drafts, and video evidence has set a new standard for public trust and personal responsibility in constituency empowerment.
By committing his own resources to support students, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim CFR has proven to be a man of himself, a leader who acts, not just speaks; who gives, not just promises. His initiative is not only a financial lifeline for many students but also a statement of faith in education as the foundation of development.
Ondo South celebrates this gesture with pride, recognizing in Senator Jimoh Ibrahim a visionary whose actions continue to inspire confidence and hope in the future of the district.
