Senator Faduyile hails rescue of Oriire kidnap victims, salutes President Tinubu, Oyo Governor

Ondo South Senator, Senator Dayo Faduyile has hailed the cheery news of the release of the victims of Oriire kidnap saga, describing the development as the satisfactory news of July.

In a special statement personally signed by the Ondo South Senator, he congratulated all Nigerians who have been in prayers with the victims in the past 56 days of their unfortunate abduction.

Senator Faduyile saluted the commitment of President Bola Tinubu to ending terrorism in Nigeria, appreciating the support his government has given the security agencies who had been involved in intense covert operations to ensure the children and teachers of the schools in the Oriire community of Ogbomoso were rescued unhurt.

He noted that for the families of the kidnap victims, Oyo state Government, Federal Government and Nigerians in general, the news of the Oyo Kidnapping has been a sad one which has created a harrowing experience, adding that the rescue mission which was successfully executed has renewed confidence in the efficiency of the Nigerian Army, the DSS, and The Police Force.

Going further, Senator Faduyile said a stern position has been established that no where in Nigeria is a safe haven for terrorists .

“While the rescue mission has returned all the victims unhurt, the icing on the cake is that none of the demands of the criminal gang of bandits was met on their terms as arrests of a good numbers of the criminals were also effected.

“We must salute specially the efforts of the military and The DSS who ensured that the forest where these victims were hidden were effectively rounded up leading to an efficient rescue operation,” Senator Faduyile enthused.

He appreciated the collaborative gesture of Oyo State Governor, His Excellency Seyi Makinde and the cooperation of the people of Oyo State while the evil siege lasted.

He added that the need has arisen more than ever before for inter agency collaboration among the security structure of the nation to ensure no inch of the soil of the South West states is ceded to any illegal occupation by evil forces masquerading as settlers without any legitimate reason to occupy the South West forest reserves.

Senator Faduyile also noted that more security should be provided for schools to ward off criminal invasion by evil forces.

“Nigerians regardless of party affiliation, creed or belief should see this development as a reason to continue to support The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu more importantly as the Presidency has made it clear that terrorism has no place in Nigeria,” Senator Faduyile maintained.
