VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE ON THE SENATE AND EXECUTIVE COUNCILS OF NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ILAJE STUDENTS,NB WAS A SUCCESS.

The above named board, a student movement that is aimed at fighting against injustice and correcting the anomalies observed in the anals of National Association of Ilaje Students of the National Body, with thoroughly scrutinized individuals focused on rebuilding the necessity for a true redefined modality of leadership and political system of Ilaje indigenous students.

Bellow is the Press Statement made available to amnewsnigeria,

“We are pleased to inform the entirety of naisites that a vote of no confidence has been passed on the current executives and the positions of principal officers of the legislative council, as the case may be.”

This is a decision and vote passed with the unanimosity of senators from chapters, and it is premised on the following bases;

1 The principal officers of the legislative council have caused a lot of confusions so far in the association in that we have been unable to differentiate who exactly is who. The legislative arm, ordinary is an arm that’s supposed to be checkmating the activities of the executive arm as it’s enshrined in the constitution but since the inception of this administration, the legislative arm has been so much “rubbished” that we could no longer have what’s called “separation of power” in our dear association. All we have is now a mixed-up functionalities of the two arms that we do not even know where to direct our grievances to when the need arises.

2 The modality of payment as agreed with the commission by the leadership of this association is not only barbaric but also devilish. Payment of schools within Ondo state first is an idea from the pit of hell which has placed the whole members of this association in a state of compendious laconic lacuna. How on earth would you come up with such modality of paying schools within the state before moving out to other states? Which administration had ever done that if not that it was a concealed attempt to manipulate members ?!

3 Misuse of power in collaborating with the Osopadec board in trading our integrity with money. We are all aware of how a whooping sum of uneven and unequal 250k, 100k, 50k respectively were transferred to the so called principal officers among you and how some other executives were sidelined in the process which has caused a lot of brouhahas among the leadership of the association. The implication of such is we already have a divided set of leaders which has culminated into ill-dissemination of information to members.

4 Expiration of tenure in office; it’s glaringly obvious that the Bojan led administration had long been elapsed. The tenure had long overdue since last year October and a new regime is inevitable at a time like this. Bojan led administration is expected to pilot the affairs of the association for a year which makes up a session, but tolling close to two years is similar to governing the association for a two consecutive sessions which is a constitutional aberration on itself. It would have even been a different kettle of fish altogether If you have had anything meaningful to offer in the course of tenural elongation. Of what essence will it be for a bird who lands on one’s roof without laying any egg?!

5 incompetence on the part of the executives and their nonchalant attitudes towards their inability to carry members along on the happenings surrounding the delay in the bursary payment.

6 The president has been so full of himself that he thinks every member of the association, both young and old, is too small to have been worthy of his accountability cum attention on his DM or on the general page as and when asked or demanded.

7 Lastly, Ilaje students nationwide could not afford to be governed by individuals who paraded themselves as leaders and yet are unable to fix their team, as a house divided against itself can not stand.

It’s on the aforementioned that Ilaje students have come to say no to this mobocratic governance and thereby seek for refurbishment and reformation of our apex body.

Our Resolutions;

*… We have lost credibility, accountability, transparency and confidence in the ongoing administration and as such demand to put an end into this administration as justified by the expiration of tenure stated above.

*…* We demand that no transactions of any kind be made out of the association’s account as from today Thursday 7th, March 2024, till a new administration assumes the office. Anything otherwise would be treated as a case of embezzlement and legal actions would be taken with immediate alacrity.

*….* It has already appeared to us that you can’t do what you were sworn in to do and we therefore can’t justify your continuity in office even with the benefit of doubts giving to you so far through the elongation of your tenure. It’s on this note we have come to the conclusion that a new administration is inevitably needed for a proactive and a continued representation. It’s our belief that the incoming executives would take our Israelites out of the captivity of Pharaoh and by then, Canaanland is certain.

God bless Nigerian students!

God bless Nais!

God bless Ilaje!

God bless our Heroes past!
