Faduyile debunks rumor of stepping down for Gov. Aiyedatiwa, says he is in race to win not to negotiate.

Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, a leading contender for the All Progressives Congress, APC Gubernatorial ticket in Ondo State has raised the alarm that some fifth columnists , who are jittery of his consistent popularity rating have gone to town with a most belittling campaign of calumny against his Gubernatorial aspiration.
Prof. Faduyile, speaking through his Campaign Council said the stock in trade of the jittery gang lately has been reaching out to his staunch coordinators across Ondo State through several calls with a bid to sell them the dummy of his resolve to step down for Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, a Co aspirant for the Guber ticket of APC.
In the press release debunking the rumor, which was made available to newsmen, Prof Faduyile stated categorically that as a staunch Progressive with a clean slate antecedent of straight and undented progressivism, he would not have obtained the expression of interest forms to contest under APC and now torpedo his ambition either for Gov. Aiyedatiwa or for any other aspirant for that matter.
While noting that all his colleague aspirants have his respect, Faduyile maintained that it will be extremely below his dignity to step down for anybody, adding that he carries in his aspiration the loyalty of the overwhelming majority of the card carrying members of the APC in Ondo State.
The Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine stressed that ordinarily he should focus on his campaign and consultation as the primary is less than six days as he cannot be distracted by the old trick of those who are made to be uncomfortable by his soaring popularity, maintaining however that it is important to rebut the ugly and ear aching rumor lest the rumor mongers pull the wool over the eyes of other unsuspecting loyalists of his Gubernatorial aspiration.
Prof. Faduyile appealed to his horde of supporters to discountenanace the nocturnal calls of those whose stock in trade is to cook falsehood and sell it to the public with the mindset of hoodwinking them.
The former Special Adviser on Health to Ondo State Government appealed to his supporters to clear whatever doubtful information that is sent to them through the Prof. Dayo Faduyile ( PDF) campaign council, stressing that he is not in the Guber race to step down for any other aspirant or negotiate away the aspiration which overwhelming majority of card carrying members of Ondo State APC have bought into.
The Prince of Ikaleland said with a robust conviction that he threw his hat in the ring after he had gone round indulging in consistent consultation with party across Ondo State and major National stakeholders , noting that it is demeaning of his clout, conviction and personality for any whimsical rumor merchant to conjecture such an impossible farce as his stepping down or negotiating his aspiration away when he stands boldly at the threshold of resounding victory.
