Ibrahim Jimoh’s journey in giving back to his community is truly inspiring. As a pioneering Ikale philanthropist, he began awarding bursaries and scholarships to Ikale students in the mid-1990s, donating educational materials to schools across Ikale land. Notably, Jimoh embarked on these charitable initiatives in his late 20s.

By 2002, he was providing scholarships worth N20,000 per student, irrespective of political affiliations or religious beliefs. He built a state-of-the-art classroom block and library at Igbotako Community Grammar School, his alma mater, and constructed the Law Center for Postgraduate Studies at Obafemi Awolowo University.

Ibrahim Jimoh’s philanthropy extends beyond education. He donated N10 million for the renovation of Okitipupa Local Government Secretariat after it was vandalized during the End SARS protests. He also contributed N40 million to the Ondo State government to combat COVID-19 in 2020 and supported Sunshine Stars football club with N10 million during a financial crisis.

Additionally, he allocated N10 million each to Ikale South and Ikale North for the construction of LCDA secretariats and provided N500,000 each to 10 Okitipupa market women who lost their goods in a fire incident. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Relations Worldwide, Jimoh has represented Nigeria in over 30 countries, donating his allowances to his constituents, supporting youths, businesswomen, and people living with disabilities.

His philanthropic efforts have totaled over N100 million in the last 18 months alone. Ibrahim Jimoh’s commitment to giving back to society predates his political career, demonstrating that his actions are driven by a genuine culture of philanthropy rather than political motivation.
