Senator Jimoh Ibrahim has once again proven himself to be a dedicated and effective representative of the Ondo South senatorial district. By disclosing the 2025 budget allocation for the area, he has shown his commitment to transparency and accountability. The budget includes several impactful projects, such as:

– The rehabilitation of 18 kilometers of Akinfosile-Erekti Road, valued at N700 million

– The construction and equipping of a JAMB central facility, worth N600 million

– The procurement of 48 500kva transformers, valued at N480 million, benefiting all six local government areas

– Market development projects, including the rehabilitation of markets in Odigbo, Okitipupa, and Igbotako, valued at N150 million

These projects demonstrate Senator Ibrahim’s dedication to improving infrastructure and public services in Ondo South. His efforts to secure funding for these projects are a testament to his effectiveness as a lawmaker.

Beyond his legislative work, Senator Ibrahim is also known for his philanthropic interventions, which have positively impacted the lives of many in Ondo South. His commitment to empowering individuals and families through job opportunities has brought hope and relief to numerous households.

As Senator Ibrahim explained, constituency projects are allocated N1 billion annually for each House Representative and N2 billion for each Senator, starting from this year. Lawmakers propose projects, which are then included in the budget and implemented by the executive branch. This process ensures that the people of Ondo South benefit from federal funding without direct cash transactions.

The implementation of capital projects outlined in the 2025 budget has not commenced, but bidding for projects is currently underway at various federal government agencies, adhering to strict procurement guidelines to ensure accountability and transparency.

This development is part of the larger Ondo State budget, approved at N698 billion for 2025. The “Budget of Recovery” prioritizes key sectors such as infrastructure, agriculture, education, healthcare, security, and social welfare, with a significant portion allocated to capital expenditure.

Notably, the procurement of 48 500kva transformers is a fundamental project that will greatly impact the lives of the people in Ondo South. Despite the region’s reconnection to the national grid, many communities still lack access to electricity due to the absence of transformers. This project is a crucial step towards addressing this challenge. Interestingly, this is just the first phase of a larger initiative, with more projects underway to further enhance the region’s infrastructure.

Kudos to Senator Jimoh Ibrahim for his tireless efforts in representing Ondo South and driving development in the region! May his philanthropic interventions and job creation initiatives continue to uplift the lives of the good people of Ondo South.
