Sunshine Grassroots Network (SGN) Storms Ondo North with Tinubu Farmers Support Programme, Reaches Hundreds of Farmers
The Sunshine Grassroots Network (SGN) on Monday 27th of April , 2026, extended its Tinubu Farmers Support (TFS) Programme to the Ondo North Senatorial District, where hundreds of farmers benefitted from the distribution of essential agricultural inputs. Beneficiaries from Ibaramu, Oke-Agbe, Irun, Ajowa, Arigidi and other communities received sprayers and rain boots to enhance their farming activities and improve productivity.
It was jubilation galore across communities in the Akoko axis, particularly in Oke-Agbe and Ibaramu, as farmers and residents warmly received the SGN team led by the Director General, Dayo Awude. The atmosphere was festive, with visible excitement as the team arrived with the Tinubu Farmers Support materials sponsored by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO).
The distribution exercise recorded a strong turnout of farmers and community stakeholders, many of whom described the intervention as timely and impactful. According to beneficiaries, the tools provided will significantly ease farm operations, reduce manual stress, and boost agricultural output across their communities.
Addressing the farmers, Hon. Awude delivered the goodwill message of the Minister, emphasizing that Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has remained consistent in championing grassroots-focused initiatives across Ondo State. He noted that through sustained support for programmes like the TFS, the Minister continues to drive meaningful empowerment, bringing relief and opportunities directly to rural farmers.
He further called for sustained support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, urging the farmers to remain steadfast in backing government policies aimed at economic growth and agricultural development.
In their response, the beneficiaries sang the praises of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), thanking him for the numerous programmes he has sponsored to bring relief and support to citizens at the grassroots. They described the interventions as impactful and life-changing, noting that they have helped ease economic hardship in their communities.
The farmers also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his various initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda. They reiterated their commitment and unwavering support for his administration and second-term bid, assuring him of their bloc vote and continued loyalty to his leadership.
