AGBAJOWO FOR ASIWAJU TO VISIT SENATOR ADE FADAHUNSI OVER EMERGENCE OF PROF. DAYO FADUYILE AS APC SENATORIAL CANDIDATE

Dodo Leads South-West Political Mobilisation Team to Brief APC Chieftain
The leadership of Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju (A4A), a South-West political mobilisation platform committed to the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, is set to pay a strategic courtesy visit to a ranking Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ade Fadahunsi, to formally brief him on recent developments within the movement, particularly the emergence of Professor Dayo Faduyile as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the forthcoming Ondo South Senatorial District by-election scheduled for June 20, 2026.
The delegation will be led by Hon. Akinola Abiodun Idowu, popularly known as Dodo, the Executive Chairman of Orile-Agege Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and Coordinator of Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju.
Also expected on the visit are Professor Dayo Faduyile, who currently serves as the Public Relations Officer of the movement and APC Senatorial Candidate for Ondo South, Prince Oluwarotimi Adediran, the Secretary of the organisation, alongside other executive members and stakeholders of the group.
According to Hon. Idowu, the visit is aimed at officially presenting Professor Faduyile to Senator Fadahunsi who is slated to be decorated as Patron of the movement and to seek his continued guidance, support and blessings as the group intensifies mobilisation efforts across the South-West and beyond in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking on the choice of Senator Fadahunsi as Patron of Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju, A4A, Dodo described the lawmaker as a statesman of uncommon political capacity, experience and strategic insight.
“Senator Ade Fadahunsi remains one of the most respected political figures in the South-West and indeed in Nigeria. His political sagacity, grassroots appeal, legislative experience and unwavering commitment to democratic development make him a natural leader and mentor for younger generations within the progressive family.
“We are proud to appoint him Patron of Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju. He represents the kind of courageous and result-oriented leadership that inspires confidence among both party members and the wider electorate,” he said.
The Coordinator further noted that Senator Fadahunsi’s political record continues to command respect across party lines.
“Few public servants have demonstrated the level of political effectiveness and constituency engagement associated with Senator Fadahunsi. His performance in office established him as a legislator whose impact resonated far beyond the walls of the National Assembly. Many political observers still reference his legislative stewardship as one that outshone even the performance of the state administration in Osun State.
“His understanding of grassroots politics, governance and public service remains invaluable to our movement and to the larger progressive project,” Dodo added.
The visit comes at a significant moment for Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju following the emergence of Professor Dayo Faduyile as the APC flag bearer for the Ondo South Senatorial by-election.
Political analysts have described Faduyile’s emergence as the nomination of a candidate whose credentials span academia, public service, professional leadership and community development.
A distinguished medical professional, administrator and former national leader within Nigeria’s medical community, Professor Faduyile is widely regarded as a candidate with the intellectual depth and leadership experience required to represent the strategic interests of Ondo South at the National Assembly.
His candidacy has generated considerable interest among stakeholders who believe the district requires visionary leadership capable of unlocking its enormous economic potential, particularly in the areas of blue economy development, maritime infrastructure, coastal protection, industrialisation, youth empowerment and educational advancement.
Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju reiterated that its mission extends beyond electoral politics and focuses on building a new generation of leaders committed to democratic participation, youth inclusion, institutional development and national progress.
The movement recently attracted national attention following its open letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu advocating increased youth participation in legislative politics, stronger internal party democracy and deliberate pathways for constitutional reforms capable of advancing true federalism and national development.
As preparations continue for the June 20 by-election, the forthcoming engagement with Senator Ade Fadahunsi is expected to further strengthen collaboration between experienced statesmen and emerging leaders within the progressive movement.
Observers believe that the meeting represents more than a courtesy call; it symbolizes a deliberate effort to build a bridge between experience and youth, between political wisdom and emerging leadership, and between ongoing achievements of today and the aspirations of tomorrow.
For Agbajowo 4 Asiwaju, that bridge remains essential to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s vision for a stronger, more inclusive and more prosperous Nigeria.
