SGN Set to Inaugurate Door-to-Door Advocates for Tinubu, Begins Fresh Grassroots Push for 2027

The Sunshine Grassroots Network (SGN) is set to inaugurate its Door-to-Door Advocates for Tinubu, as the organisation begins a fresh phase of grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The inauguration is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the SGN State Secretariat.
The initiative is designed to take SGN’s advocacy directly to households and communities, with the advocates expected to engage residents on the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda and make a case for the consolidation of the administration’s programmes beyond 2027.
Beyond political mobilisation, the advocates will also serve as a direct link between SGN and the grassroots, engaging residents, listening to their concerns, providing information and encouraging greater participation in the political and development process.
A key responsibility of the advocates will be to intimate people at the grassroots with the policies, programmes and achievements of the Tinubu administration, particularly in areas that directly affect the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians. The initiative will also seek to communicate SGN’s position on the importance of sustaining and consolidating the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
The Door-to-Door Advocates programme builds on SGN’s existing grassroots interventions, including the Farmers Support Programme, Tinubu Free Fuel (TFF), SGN-Tinubu Atajere Apron and Widows’ Mite, among others.
Under the leadership of its Director-General, Hon. Dayo Awude, SGN has recorded significant progress in grassroots engagement through these initiatives, translating its support for the Tinubu administration into programmes with direct impact on communities and vulnerable groups.
From supporting farmers and providing fuel assistance to grassroots transport operators, to supporting widows and providing other forms of community intervention, the network has continued to position its activities around issues that affect people at the grassroots.
The network’s growing activities have also been strengthened by the support of its National Leader, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), whose sponsorship and commitment have continued to provide the backing required for SGN’s programmes and grassroots activities.
BTO, who has established a strong grassroots political presence in Ondo State, is widely regarded by many as the leading grassroots mobilisers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the state. His support for SGN has enabled the network to sustain and expand its people oriented initiatives while strengthening its mobilisation structure across communities in Ondo State.
With the Door-to-Door structure, SGN intends to take its mobilisation beyond rallies and organised events by establishing a sustained presence within communities and creating direct, person-to-person engagement with residents and voters.
The advocates are expected to play an important role in communicating the administration’s policies and achievements at the grassroots, while also listening to the people and conveying their concerns through the appropriate channels.
The organisation believes that effective grassroots mobilisation requires continuous engagement with the people, understanding their concerns and communicating government policies and achievements in a manner that resonates with local communities.
The September 2 inauguration is therefore expected to mark the beginning of a wider grassroots campaign structure through which SGN will mobilise support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, while continuing to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda at the community level.
The event is expected to attract SGN stakeholders, grassroots leaders, advocates and supporters as the network formally launches the new structure.
