IKALE BETRAYERS AND CONSPIRATORS

In this season of political activities, where both major and minor political players pitch their tents in one camp or the other, it is expedient to expose some individuals who have failed our people in terms of quality representation when afforded the chance. Fortunately, these desperate politicians, some weeks ago, held a meeting in Okitipupa arrogating for themselves the voice of all Okitipupa APC members and in their characteristic selves endorsed Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

It should be noted that these self serving elements parading themselves as leaders and stakeholders are all spent politicians. The resolutions made in that now ill-fated meeting regrettable to many are totally rejected as they did not have the locus standi and the capacity to speak for us all.

These same persons have been tested and proven to be selfish, self-centered and self-serving. Across different governments, these elements have been cornering what belongs to the good people of Okitipupa for themselves alone with nothing as dividends for our people. People that have nothing tangible to point as achievements when they were in governments are now grouping again to shortchange our people in the bid to get one appointment or the other.

Below are some of the saboteurs masquerading as leaders of APC in Okitipupa, wishing for Ondo south to produce a governor of four years, thereby, shortchanging the whole zone even when they know that late Agagu didnt finish his own tenure, because of their agenda priding individualism over the collective:

Olusegun Ayerin: Over the past few years, Ayerin has jumped political parties in more than 4 occasions. From PDP to LP, to PDP to APC ZLP to APC to PDP back to APC in no particular order. Ayerin, by virtue of his old age, by now should be seen as a rallying point and carry himself as an elder statesman but in a bid to protect his pot of soup as a palm oil merchant, he is now more concerned with getting crumps other than to be a reference point.

Femi Agagu: Isn’t it shameful that despite Femi’s schemes against Lucky Aiyedatiwa when he was a commissioner, he is now running helter skelter after he was relieved by same man he’s now pulling resources to support all because of appointment?

Femi Agagu should go to Iju Odo and pinpoints his tangible achievement. He should ask those he parades as supporters about his real self and if they want to be sincere to him, he will hear what his people think of him. He should engage in self- reflection as he has lost his mojo.

Ola Oguntimehin: A one-time assembly member, Alaspart has peaked politically years ago. Another spent politician posing as leader. Can he muster 10 genuine supporters in his own unit? He is way past his relevance.

Morenike Onukun Alaka: When providence bequeathed on her as one of the few women fully participating in politics and was rewarded as a caretaker chair, little did we know she was no different than her male colleagues. She’s not only stingy but also has a propensity for self aggrandizement. Her tenure as an acting chair is a testament to her clueless approach to governance.

But shouldn’t it be a matter of concern when few months ago, Alaka and Betty Akeredolu were 5&6? Major was running errands for Arabinrin for BEMORE and FOWOSO’s activities? Where lies her loyalty? Alaka should point to a project executed during her tenure in her hometown when she was a caretaker chair. She should go to Ilutitun and hear what they call her. The #10k promise woman. At any event she attended when she was a chair, she would promise #10k and wouldn’t pay a dime after coming with her entourage. She’s one of those whose times have equally passed.

Tomide Akinrogunde: It’s obvious he wants a comeback in the scheme of things. His boy-boy to Femi Agagu will always be an impediment. The worst assembly man in the history of Okitipupa constituency 1. Woeful, poor and docile. No wonder he was roundly beaten blue black even as a sitting honourable during the last primary. He should go back to his practice and concentrate fully there.

Before this conversation becomes monotonous, it’s important to understand that every one has the right of association but when you associate with the aim of hampering the collective good, it now behoves that such person will be thrown missiles of words.

It’s equally important to note that these outdated politicians are many, mortgaging our future and spearheading this campaign of shortchanging Ondo south should be stopped, but for the sake of time, we will pause here and send another piece next time highlighting their names and exposing their misdeeds.

The only factor bringing these lots together is the balkanization of our collective patrimony. We must not allow them to mortgage our future for their selfish agenda at perpetuating themselves in power. We must rise up and take charge of this primary election. Ondo South must not be shortchanged. We deserve the full 8 years. We equally deserve a vibrant leader devoid of political and academic baggage.
