Aiyedatiwa SA On Inter-Party Affairs Receives Former SDP HoA Candidate, over 1000 others into APC
The acceptability of the incumbent Executive Governor of Ondo State and the flag bearer of the All Progressives Congress has continues to gain momentum across the state and beyond as critical stakeholders and their followers from other political parties have been joining the APC with the view to ensuring the victory of His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
Just today, the Special Assistant to Ondo State Governor on Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Barr. Fadeshola Ojamomi received some decampees from the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In a press statement personally signed by Hon. (Barrister) Ojamomi Fadesola, he commended the thoughtful decision of Hon.
Ademoloye Azeez former SDP Aspirant to move his train into the All Progressives Congress with over 1,000 of other party leaders and followers.
The former Ondo West House of Assembly Aspirant who was received by Barrister Fadesola posited that his decision to join the party is based on brilliant performance of Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa and the fact that the ideology of rhe party aligns with his. Party chieftain were on ground to welcome him.
“I am pleased to announce the official defection of Ademoloye Azeez, former House of Assembly candidate for Ondo West under the Social Democratic Party (SDP) alongside 25 SDP leaders and 1,570 of his supporters, to the APC. His decision to join the party represents a significant boost to the party’s strength in Ondo City and its environs.”

Speaking at a welcoming reception held at the APC secretariat in Ondo City, the Chairman of the APC Ondo West Chapter, Hon. Aro Bernard, expressed excitement over Azeez’s decision. He noted that Azeez’s experience, commitment to good governance, and connection with the grassroots would be instrumental in further strengthening the party’s position in Ondo State.
Also at the event was the Secretary to the State Government, Hon. Oluwatuyi Tayo (Tukana) , MHR representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Abiola Makinde, The Commissioner for Women Affair, Hon. Mrs Lola Fagbemi, LCDA Chairman, Hon. Onidare Sunday Bukunmi (OSB) , SA to the Governor on Political Affairs, Hon. Smart Omodunni, SA to the Speaker , Hon. Tope Aderibigbe, Hon. Timothy Ayesuwa, Hon. Jerry Akintomide, Hon. Ileola Benedict and other important dignitaries were all around to grace the occasion. They were all delighted to welcome Ademoloye Azeez into the APC family.
“His passion for the progress of Ondo West and his proven track record of service to the people will no doubt contribute to the growth and success of our party in the upcoming elections,” Fade’ Ojamomi said.
Ademoloye Azeez, while addressing supporters and party members, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception he received from the APC leadership and highlighted his reasons for joining the party. The APC’s progressive agenda aligns with my vision for Ondo West, and I am confident that together, we can achieve remarkable progress.” He also announce the defection of all SDP party members in Diaspora represented by Comrade Olayinka oladapo , Comrade Lekan Fasoranti, Comrade Ayorinde Adeyileka , Mr. Akinrolabu Niyi , Mr. Tunde Akinwale and 18 others.
He further reiterated his dedication to working collaboratively with APC leaders and members to ensure that the party continues to deliver on its promises to the people of Ondo West and beyond.
