ONDO STATE DESERVES BETTER: APC’S GROSS INCOMPETENCE MUST END – Babatunde Kuye
PRESS STATEMENT
Ondo State is at a critical juncture, and it’s imperative that the state prioritizes effective governance to drive progress. The current APC government has demonstrated gross mismanagement of resources, with extravagant spending on hotel bills for eight consecutive years, while critical projects, like the renovation of the Deputy Governor’s residence, remain abandoned.
This lack of accountability has yielded zero meaningful projects over the past eight years, with Agboola Ajayi, former Deputy Governor, equally responsible for this wastefulness. Unfortunately, both Agbo and Ayedatiwa lack the requisite expertise and leadership acumen to lead the state.
The APC government’s mismanagement of resources includes extravagant spending on hotel bills, while abandoning critical projects. This has resulted in stalled progress, particularly in road projects initiated by Late Akeredolu.
The people of Ondo State deserve better. Our state boasts a rich legacy of visionary leaders, including Ajasin, Adefarati, Agagu, Mimiko, and Akeredolu, who exemplified political will and social welfare ideology.
Meanwhile, Ondo State workers are struggling with unpaid allowances and bonuses, while salary increments are unpredictable. In stark contrast, Aiyedatiwa is set to renovate the Commissioner for Finance’s office for 90 million naira.
I urge the people of Ondo State to demand more from their leaders and vote out APC and Aiyedatiwa for their gross incompetence and insensitivity.
Let’s work towards a brighter future for Ondo State.
