Sunshine Grassroots Network Storms Ifon and Owo with Tinubu Atajere Apron & Free Fuel Initiative

The Sunshine Grassroots Network (SGN) once again demonstrated its growing grassroots strength and commitment to people-centered mobilization as it successfully took the Tinubu Atajere Apron and Tinubu Free Fuel (TFF) Initiative to Ose and Owo Local Government Areas of Ondo State.

The outreach programme, powered by Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), National Leader of SGN, formed part of the organization’s continuous grassroots engagement and strategic support for the Renewed Hope agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At the heart of the outreach was the distribution of the widely celebrated Tinubu Atajere Apron to market women, traders, and local business operators across the host communities. The initiative, which has continued to gain popularity across Ondo State, had previously been held successfully in Odigbo and Akure before extending to Ose and Owo Local Government Areas.

The programme was warmly received by beneficiaries, many of whom described the initiative as a thoughtful grassroots intervention that recognizes the importance of traders and local entrepreneurs in sustaining the local economy.

Complementing the apron distribution was the Tinubu Free Fuel (TFF) Initiative, a strategic empowerment programme targeted at transport operators. Under the initiative, Okada riders and Keke Maruwa operators received free fuel support aimed at easing operational costs and improving their daily business activities.

The TFF scheme has remained one of SGN’s most impactful empowerment programmes since its launch in Akure, where over 1,000 motorcycle riders and tricycle operators benefited during the first phase of the initiative. Since then, the programme has continued to expand across communities, directly supporting grassroots transport operators who play vital roles in local commerce and mobility.

Beyond the TFF and Tinubu Atajere Apron initiatives, SGN has continued to sustain several other intervention programmes across Ondo State, including the Tinubu Farmers Support (TFS) initiative, where over 1,000 farmers received sprayers and rain boots to support agricultural productivity, as well as the widely applauded Tinubu Widows’ Mite, which has provided financial and food support to hundreds of widows across various communities.

These programmes, all sponsored by Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo through SGN, have continued to strengthen the organization’s reputation as one of the most active and effective grassroots political structures within the APC in Ondo State.

Interestingly, a popular slogan now gaining momentum across Ondo State is “BTO Everywhere You Go” and “Tinubu Jor, Tinubu Jare,” reflecting the growing visibility and acceptance of BTO-backed support groups working tirelessly for the re-election of President Tinubu. From markets to motor parks, from farmers to artisans, and from local communities to ward structures, SGN and its affiliated grassroots movements have continued reaching the people through impactful and positive programmes that directly touch lives.

As SGN continues to expand its reach across the state, the message remains clear: the grassroots are active, the people are engaged, and the momentum in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027 continues to grow steadily.
