APC Picks Prof. Dayo Faduyile for Ondo South Rerun: Candidate Promises Unity, Continuity and Renewed Representation

The ruling All Progressives Congress in Ondo State has produced Prof. Dayo Faduyile as its candidate for the forthcoming Ondo South Senatorial District rerun election following a successful and widely applauded party primary.

In his acceptance speech shortly after emerging victorious, Prof. Faduyile described the outcome of the primary as a triumph of democracy, unity, and collective progress for the people of Ondo South.

According to him, the overwhelming support he received from party faithful across the district reflects the shared commitment of APC members toward sustaining progressive governance and quality representation in the Senate.

“This victory is for our great party, APC, and it remains a collective victory,” he declared.

The APC candidate expressed profound appreciation to the Executive Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, commending him for providing what he described as a transparent and enabling atmosphere for a peaceful and participatory primary process.

Prof. Faduyile noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s leadership has continued to strengthen democratic values within the party and deepen confidence among party members across the state.

He also paid glowing tribute to the immediate past senator representing Ondo South, Jimoh Ibrahim, acknowledging the strong legislative foundation already laid in the 10th Senate.

The APC flagbearer pledged to build on the achievements and representation style of Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, while assuring constituents that he would continue to pursue people-oriented legislation and effective representation at the National Assembly.

“I feel deeply humbled to continue on the commendable strides already established in the Senate,” Prof. Faduyile stated.

Calling for reconciliation and unity among all aspirants who participated in the primary election, the APC candidate emphasized that internal democracy must ultimately strengthen the party ahead of the rerun election.

He urged party members across the six local government areas of Ondo South Senatorial District to close ranks and work collectively toward delivering victory for APC in the forthcoming poll.

Prof. Faduyile further linked the forthcoming rerun election to the broader national agenda of sustaining the Renewed Hope vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that continuity of progressive leadership remains essential for national development.

As political activities intensify ahead of the June rerun election, the emergence of Prof. Dayo Faduyile has continued to generate momentum within APC circles, with supporters describing his candidacy as a blend of experience, intellect, and grassroots acceptability.

The Ondo South rerun election is expected to attract significant political attention as parties prepare for another major electoral contest in the state.
