Prof. Faduyile Mourns Akintelure, Suspends Campaign Activities.
Former President of the Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) and immediate past Special Adviser to Ondo State Government on Health, Prof. Adedayo Faduyile, has mourned the sudden death of Dr. Paul Akintelure.
Faduyile, in a statement issued to journalists yesterday, described the death of the All Progressive Congress (APC) aspirant in the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State, Akintelure, as a heavy blow too many to bear.
According to him, “It is a rude shock that tears the heart apart a collosal loss not only to the ruling party but also to humanity at large.
“My Egbon, Dr Paul, is a Rare Gem and phenomenon; a quintessential light that went dim too early when needed most. He has paid his dues as a politician in the state and also in the medical profession.”
He further described the former running mate to late Governor Odunayo Akeredolu, DPA, as fondly called by all, as a “peace-loving personality and goal-getter who will be greatly missed as a politician and community builder.”
The Medical Doyen, Faduyile, who is also an APC aspirant in the forthcoming governorship election, condoled with the family and members of the APC at all levels, directing his political team to suspend his campaign activities in honour of the deceased.
