You Are the Heroes:
It is no time for taking stocks, yet apposite enough to express my appreciation to those wonderful people who made my participation in the Ondo State gubernatorial primary of the Peoples Democratic Party, on the 25th of April 2024, worth the while.
Concerned about the parlous state of affairs in our dear state and conscious of the quality leadership our people, from the time of Adekunle Ajasin, have always elected, being groomed in the Awoist philosophy that defined the programmes of those administrations and with the privilege of having served under or being a participant observer of their delivery, we were determined to stand on this enviable pedestal with demonstrated capacity to take our state to greater heights.
In this connection, we deliberately raised the bar of campaigns in the internal election to give the people a quality and viable option to the party in power, we toured the nooks and crannies of our dear state with messages of hope based on unambiguously articulated programmes and demonstrated unmattached knowledge of the state, its territory, people and geopolitical configuration for fair, just and inclusive governance.
We had no reason to doubt that our messages resonated with the people, leaders and members of our party at all levels and particularly the delegates in whose hands the fate of the party and our state, by extension, lie.
Therefore, to you all, who truly believe in and supported us in everyway, including those wonderful delegates of our great party who allign with our gospel of hope for a better tomorrow, our appreciation knows no bounds. We thank you.
You are indeed the heroes.
