AWUDE HAILS OLUBUNMI TUNJI-OJO, BACKS EXPANSION OF FREE HEALTHCARE IN ONDO

In a strong show of grassroots impact and leadership-driven intervention, a free medical outreach organized by the Grassroots Movement for Tinubu (GMT) and powered by BTO has delivered much-needed healthcare services to residents of Ondo North, drawing commendation from stakeholders and beneficiaries alike.
Speaking as a special guest at the event, the Director General of the Sunshine Grassroots Network (SGN), Hon. Dayo Awude, expressed profound appreciation to the Honourable Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for what he described as a thoughtful and people-centered initiative.
“This is more than a medical outreach; it is a demonstration of leadership that listens and responds to the needs of the people,” Awude stated.
He noted that the intervention reflects a deep commitment to the wellbeing of the grassroots, particularly in underserved communities across Ondo North.
Hon. Awude also lauded Hon Sala Yusuf-Ogunleye Director General of GMT, for his foresight and decisive role in facilitating the programme.
“If not for the bold step taken by Hon. Saka Lawal, this initiative may not have seen the light of day. Leadership is about action, and this is a clear example,” he added.
Describing the outreach as a strategic starting point, Awude emphasized that the initiative represents only the beginning of a broader healthcare vision for Ondo State.
“What we are witnessing today is just a test of the waters. In the next three years, we are optimistic that Medicare can become free and accessible to all in Ondo State,” he said.
He further stressed that the capacity demonstrated by Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo in executing impactful interventions even in a private capacity is a strong indicator of what can be achieved through sustained public leadership.
“If this can be achieved at this level, then the future holds even greater promise under a structured government framework,” Awude concluded.
In conclusion, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO) was widely applauded for this impactful initiative and his consistent efforts through various platforms and groups across Ondo State to bring relief and support to the people of the Sunshine State. His commitment to service continues to resonate at the grassroots, offering hope and tangible benefits to many.
