BTO, Through SGN, Takes Tinubu Farmers Support Programme to Ese-Odo and Irele LGAs in Ondo South
The Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo (BTO), through the Sunshine Grassroots Network, has extended the Tinubu Farmers Support (TFS) Programme to Ese-Odo Local Government Area and Irele Local Government Area, where hundreds of farmers benefitted from the distribution of essential agricultural inputs.
The programme, which continues to gain momentum across the state, saw farmers receive sprayers and rain boots to enhance productivity and ease farming operations. The exercise attracted a large turnout of beneficiaries and community stakeholders, many of whom described the intervention as timely and impactful.
Communities across Ese-Odo and Irele witnessed scenes of excitement and appreciation as the SGN team arrived with the support materials. Farmers expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting that the tools would significantly reduce stress and improve their output during the farming season.
Speaking during the exercise, Mr. Adefila, Chairman of the Tinubu Farmers Support Committee, reiterated that the programme is part of a broader effort to empower grassroots farmers and strengthen food production across Ondo State. He emphasized the commitment behind the initiative to ensuring that rural farmers receive the necessary support to thrive.
Also addressing the gathering, the Director General of SGN, Dayo Awude, called for massive support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He urged beneficiaries to deliver a bloc vote for the President’s re-election, noting that the transformation being witnessed across various sectors must be sustained for continued national development.
Beneficiaries, in their response, praised Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo for his continued investment in grassroots development, highlighting the consistency of his interventions through SGN and other platforms. They described the programme as a clear demonstration of responsive leadership and concern for the welfare of the people.
The farmers also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his Renewed Hope Agenda, reaffirming their support for his administration and pledging their votes toward his second-term bid.
